Hi Team,
I have a centos7.9 production server. Whenever a user tries to login to the server, they are displayed with the below message in the terminal.
Cannot setup inotify for ‘/root/.local/share/flatpak/exports/share/dbus-1/services’; error 'Permission denied
However, it does not affect the normal working of the server or users. I checked the file ‘’ and found that it does not even exist. I tried uninstalling py-inotify which was installed on the server and couldn’t help. So assume that it is something related to Flatpak is causing this error in the server. Since this is a production server, uninstalling is not recommended.
Any solution how to fix this issue other than uninstalling Flatpak on the server?
