Darktable & RawTherapee raw-loaders for GIMP

Project information: While both Darktable and RawTherapee are available as standalone apps, neither one provides functionality needed by GIMP to be able to open CR3 and other raw formats.

This results in an error:

GIMP Message

Opening ‘/var/home/[FILEPATH].CR3’ failed: There is no RAW loader installed to open ‘Raw Canon’ files.

GIMP currently supports these RAW loaders:

darktable (http://www.darktable.org/), at least 1.7

RawTherapee (http://rawtherapee.com/), at least 5.2

Please install one of them in order to load RAW files.

I’m neglecting the template because the packages are already available but incompatible.

Is this Fedora Flatpak or Flathub? Not sure why there is a link to a Fedora bug.

It is for Flathub—I am simply cross-referencing a bug for the same issue that also exists in the Fedora repo. It turns out there is already a bug with Flathub here:

github.com/flathub/org.gimp.GIMP

Not aware of rawtherapee and darktable when all is installed as flatpak

I tried to open a raw picture. I have both of those apps installed, but they are flatpaks, just like GIMP. So GIMP flatpak should be somehow aware of these other apps when all is installed as flatpaks AFAICS.
