Flatpak App specific GUI

When I donwnload a Flatpak app through the app GUI called software 3.38.1 which is the same GUI app used for Gnome apps which is also 3.38.1.

I suspect the GUI app software is incorrect on Peppermint. Is there a specific GUI App for flatpak? The command line shows me flatpak apps

GNOME Software handle both distribution packages and Flatpak.

(no idea what “peppermint” is beside an ice cream flavour)

I’m guessing Peppermint refers to the distro.
