I am writing an application store based on electron.
I am using the Flathub API, and I have a plan to include snap or arch packages in the application store separately. Will this cause any problems, such as copyright issues?
I tried to set the APIs to be used only once when the application is launched, as much as possible.
Using the Flathub API
Please make sure to set user-agent properly so we know which requests come from your application. Other than that, the API is public and in general stable, although we don’t guarantee there will be no breaking changes at some point.
I’ve been experiencing situations where the Fluthub API is sometimes unresponsive or overloaded. The best way around this problem seems to be to pull content, especially homepage content, through my own API and feed it to the app from there. I might also consider getting content from Flahub, such as screenshots of only clicked sections. I will try to reduce API usage as much as possible.
