Viewing dependencies

When I perform an update I see the application Gimp and a few others pending an update. Gimp as of June=2025 has version 3.04 and the version for Gimp has not changed. I am assuming that some of the other components that require updating are dependancies that Gimp needs.

How can I view the dependancies for gimp to confirm why this update for gimp is occurring even though the version has not changed?

You can look at the manifest for the application. If you go to the page for the app under flathub.org, you will find a “Show Manifest” link in the links section. This leads to the current manifest, from which an app was build. Additionally, you can from there check the history of the file to see what changed.
