Application permissions could remotely change after installed

Hey all,

I use a couple of flatpak apps that have all gnome-software security warnings in green status when installed ( this is the only way I use a flatpak app ).
Could a future application update change this security status in a way I will no be aware of these changes ( ie. no home folder access > app update > now home folder access )

It is possible a security regression after installing an app.

Thank you in advance.

As far as I know, flatpak cli and gnome software inform you on updates, if permissions change.

The green status however is slightly different. It’s derived from permissions and some other metadata. And AFAIK there will be an iteration on it with gnome 45, so these might change due to that.

Hi,

thank you for the information.

Best Regards.
