Project information: AutoKey, a desktop automation utility for Linux and X11, formerly hosted at OldAutoKey(Google Code Archive - Long-term storage for Google Code Project Hosting.). Updated to run on Python 3. AutoKey is a scripting application for Linux. It lets you automate repetitive and trivial operations on your computer so you can perform them quickly and efficiently.

I would love to see this as a Flatpak and/or Appimage. This is one of my key, must have packages, but it is not in all the repositories.

Totally agreed! AutoKey (or any other AutoHotkey alternatives with Hotstring support) should definitely be made available as Flatpak so it’s installable via the Discover store on the Steam Deck.

I totally support this request… It’s one of the things I miss for my Steam Deck. It can replace my livingroom computer for the majority of things, but this is definitely missing!
