I have a problem and it is that I cannot activate the background execution of this application.
I have Linux Mint 21.1 Xfce, a colleague has the same version but with Cinnamon and has the same problem as me. However I tried on other distributions with different DE from virtual machines and the background execution works, it even lets me activate it from Flatseal.
Things I already tried:
.- Using Flatseal, but when going to the “Portal” section. It won’t let me activate the “background” checkbox, however when I overlay the cursor over the checkbox I get the following message: “Portal data has not yet been configured”. The only box it lets me check is the Notifications box.
I already updated to the latest version of flatpak.
I read the documentation and apparently the service for background execution is called “org.freedesktop.portal.Background”. But I have no idea how to activate it.
