I know there are alternatives… but they aren’t very intuitive, their UI is quite bad. This one is a good one.
The problem here, is likely, that they don’t want you to download the full version without having a license.
I initially bought a license from a local online store, but i ended up cancelling.
I’m not sure if they actually give you a different link to download, like from your own account once you activate your license.
The trial was very awful and janky, i think because of the libraries, and i decided i don’t want to wait for the license. I mean, I couldn’t get my money back afterwards.
Oh well, thanks for the input, you might be right.
If there’s anyone with a license for it around here, please comment and let me know if you have a different binary or download link to a working version (I don’t want it, i just want to know if it’s worth bothering buying a license again).
I really like the UI and i was pretty happy with Corel’s products in the past.
For what matters, i decided to re-order a license.
There’s no alternative download link, and the software is still buggy and absolutely unusable (besides having two titlebars, when i open any sort of RAW file it just slowly turns white and i can’t see it).
Support is garbage too.
Aftershot seems to run Ok as a Ubuntu 22.04 Distrobox, which is nice. I could not get a Fedora distrobox to even install. I think this would be an excellent inclusion to FlatHub as you can download the full version to build a flatpack and only require a licence key to run after 15 days.
The problem child to getting this to run under a Fedora distrobox is that the GStreamer requirements are ancient compared to most modern distros now. as of right now it is the only paid version of a Raw processor that can be found for Linux.
