How do you classify and reject applications?

I attempted to publish my application on Fluthub in this PR

which was rejected because I had inserted images instead of videos and the repository history was incomplete.

Ignoring the fact that I didn’t understand the criteria used to identify it as AI, given that I put a lot of effort into studying the language and making it as good as possible.

To correct the reported issues, I ran a second PR

where I inserted the video and explained that the history in the first PR was incomplete because I had squashed it in the first main commit and redone the PR starting from develop.

This was also rejected, saying it was a duplicate, which isn’t true because it’s a PR with corrections, and also stating that there’s no point in redoing the PR because it would be rejected.

Could I please know the evaluation criteria?

I’m not an AI addict, and as someone who enjoys playing my part in the openspurce world, I’d like to understand the criteria.

Thank you.

The criteria is having signs of AI (mis)use in the source or the submission PR etc. and I felt there were, based on my experience of reviewing close to a thousand of these PRs since the last 2 year. Hence the rejection.

If you are asking for some hard proof, then I can’t provide that because you can always deny whatever I say and I am not sitting beside and monitoring you write the code.

If you actually didn’t then I am sorry you were caught in the crossfire of the LLM slopfest.

Also as I said it was blocked on the insufficient development history anyway disregarding “AI criteria”. You only have 7 commits to the project and it has not even been one whole month. The first commit to it was from March 25.

Your response refers to the first pull request.

As I wrote in the message and in the second pull request, I explained why there were so few commits and, consequently, the second pull request was made from the develop branch, where the initial squashing hadn’t been done.

I carefully read the reason for the first rejection and tried, as anyone would, to provide complete information because I wanted to share my experience. But at this point, I’d say there’s a serious flaw in your app rating system.

I’m just sorry that this has also tarnished my contribution history.

Recreating the submission PR doesn’t automatically change the fact that the app is still less than a month old and thus blocked by the insufficient development histroy criteria.

So you’re telling me that if someone creates a simple but useful app that doesn’t take a lot of time to develop, they can’t publish it?

I’d say you have a serious problem with the evaluation criteria.

This is the develop branch, and it makes no sense for an application like this to have more than one of these commits.

Can I just kindly ask you to delete my pull requests so they don’t appear in my profile’s contribution history?
Since I believe I haven’t made any mistakes, I no longer want to publish it on FlatHub.

Thank you

GitHub doesn’t allow deleting pull requests, nothing we can do.

I doubt one Flathub submission rejection will tarnish your open source history, but whatever.
