How do you get a Flathub submission "verified"?

There’s a list of “verified” Flathub apps on the beta website: Verified Apps | Flathub

What are the requirements for being verified and how can I start the process?

Requirement is you have edit access to the upstream domain specified in the Flatpak manifest.

Steps:

  1. Login to https://beta.flathub.org/
  2. Go to your Developer Profile
  3. Select the app you want to verify
  4. Start the verification process (it involves uploading a file to a URL on the upstream website)

I currently don’t see any option to login on https://beta.flathub.org or https://flathub.org, how is this done?

I see it now, for some reason my browser wasn’t refreshing. The link to login is now at Login | Flathub and is linked from the About page.

After completing the verification process, do I need to keep the verification file (org.flathub.VerifiedApps.txt) on the project website or can I just remove it?
