I have come across issues where videos decoded on Firefox using ffmpeg-full runtime’s libraries just fail and just gives draws a blank square while sound still plays as expected. The reason I don’t think this is a Firefox issue is the issue remains even if I quit Firefox or even with a new session (log out and log in again). Only a complete system reboot fixed it.
I suspect that whatever broken instance of ffmpeg flatpak remains in system memory even if session is closed, so I’d like to know if there’s anyway to somehow restart or reload the runtime.
