Hello, there was this screen recorder I used all the time named “Kazam” it worked lovely on Fedora 34 but now it doesn’t ship with Fedora anymore and the pip3 install kazam counterpart doesn’t work for desktop recordings only screenshots.
Please make a flatpak of Kazam anyone, I am really desperate to use this software on Fedora again.
Fedora has defaulted to Wayland for a few releases now, and it looks like Kazam does not support Wayland:
Packaging it as a Flatpak won’t solve that.
I use Cinnamon with X and don’t care about Wayland. Can it still be packaged?
I don’t know of anything that would prevent packaging it, in that case. (To be clear, though, I’m not planning to do this myself)
I got Kazam working with an appimage a few weeks ago. Still I hope someone packages it. I’m pretty sure X will be around for at least six more years if not indefinitely.
