Official Flathub Store Application

I have been noticing that Fedora Flatpaks have plagued my system, and I just ended up installing Flatpaks via the commands provided on the Flathub site. Many others have had this issue, and I would like to say that the Flathub UI is very easy to read and understand. Compare this to GNOME Software or KDE Discover, and there is no competition at all. Flathub makes it obvious where every package is from and if it is verified or not. It also gives you the run command which is very helpful when making custom keyboard shortcuts. It is just a bit slow to have to find a Flatpak on Flathub and install it via the terminal. In short, I would like to recommend the development of a native Flathub desktop client with a similar UI to that of the official website.

Just from my perspective as another Flatpak user, I can’t follow the point…

Gnome Software and KDE Discover are showing exactly the same information as the Flathub site, minus maybe the run command. Even if an app is verified is available.

The only thing different would be the fact that the Flathub site only shows apps from the Flathub remote, while the system apps allow you to list several remotes. But at least I would consider it to be fairly good communicated in the apps from where an app comes from…

That being said, if you don’t want to use the Fedora Flatpak remote, why not remove it?

The install on the website will likely become easier, when we can land this
