Options for commercial products?

Hi all.

The company I work for has a product, ZetaOffice, that is a kind of branded LTS version of LibreOffice, see https://zetaoffice.net/#download. We plan to also release it as a flatpak, and were wondering what the options would be these days for commercial products on Flathub.

For one, is there a way to publish a pre-built flatpak on Flathub, instead of providing its sources under https://github.com/flathub/ and having it built through https://buildbot.flathub.org/?

And for another, I tend to remember there once was talk about providing payment facilities on Flathub (similar to what many app stores provide), but I guess that never went anywhere?

Thanks,
Stephan

You can provide a binary package .deb or tarball or whatever but it should be built on infra.

See Request for Proposals: Flathub Program Management

We do support direct uploads, but are choosing parties, that can do direct uploads very carefully. In general, for us the non direct upload workflow is easier right now.

Regarding payment, technically it’s done. It’s waiting for organisational/legal to get done too. We will need another QC, design etc pass probably, before enabling it.
