I raised an issue for Thunderbird, https://github.com/flathub/org.mozilla.Thunderbird/issues/227, and it’s since been closed, but closing this unfortunately smells of corporate mentality in trying to hide troublesome issues, rather than be open about them. This issue has an easy workaround, thankfully, but it still seems to be something that’s at the core of a lot of flatpak problems I have with numerous applications. Pretending the problem doesn’t exist isn’t in the best interest of the success of Flatpak, so I hope that it can be discussed openly.
