Hello everyone, first time posting here, so my apologies if this is not the right place for such topics.
I have a very strange problem where a few WebKitGTK-based apps are crashing on launch for me, without an error or verbose, specifically Epiphany, NewsFlash and recently Evolution.
As you might read in the posted issues above, the only info I can provide as a confused end user is that 1. the common denominator between these three apps with WebKitGTK and 2. the software above might have an issue rendering non-Latin scripts like โelโ and โjaโ, which are also the extra keyboard I use on GNOME.
When I do locale
, I get:
LANG=en_US.UTF-8
LC_CTYPE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_COLLATE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MESSAGES="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_ALL=
So I am not using mixed locale, in my case, just the en_US
el
and ja
keyboards. Lastly, my system info is:
OS: Fedora Linux 41 (Workstation Edition) / Wayland
Kernel: 6.13.5-200.fc41.x86_64
DE: GNOME Shell 47.4
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 8-Core Processor
GPU1: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Navi 23 [Radeon RX 6600/6600 XT/6600M] (rev c7)
GPU2: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Raphael (rev c3)
Any advice would be really appreciated, thank you!
