I recently noticed that many Flatpak apps including Microsoft Edge render UI fonts in italics. I can’t find a way to fix this so the default UI font for the DE is used. I am running Ubuntu 24.10 Wayland and GNOME. See the following menu from Microsoft Edge:
Any ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated.
This issue was resolved by using GNOME Tweaks to restore the default font back to “Ubuntu Regular.” The font I used by the theme I had applied is a variable font. These fonts are not well supported by Flatpak. Apparently, the fallback font used by Flatpak is italicized.
