This was and easy conversion and the only real "issue" was the LibreOffice integ…ration which has a good handle now. LibreOffice runs in its own separate Flatpak sandbox. Even with `--talk-name=org.freedesktop.Flatpak` on our side, Flatpak hard-excludes `~/.var/app/* `(any app's private data) from every other app's "host" filesystem grant that's intentional, cross-app isolation, not a bug. And `/tmp` turned out to be privately sandboxed per-app too, despite LibreOffice's broad "host" permission it silently converted into its own invisible /tmp and reported success while writing nothing anyone else could see. The fix: stage the conversion in a plain, real directory directly under `$HOME ~/.word-sys-pdf-editor-libreoffice-cache` which is outside both of those exclusion zones, so both our sandbox and LibreOffice's can see it. That required one more narrowly-scoped manifest permission, `--filesystem=~/.word-sys-pdf-editor-libreoffice-cache:create` a single named folder, not broad home/host access. I verified this by testing directly on the host shell first (bypassing the whole sandbox stack), which is how I isolated each failure mode instead of guessing inside the noisier nested-sandbox context.
